Foods For Clear Skin: What To Eat For Glowing Skin
Almost everyone wishes they had a clear, glowing skin. But more than just being an aesthetic appeal, facial skin is the first line of defense against environmental toxins, and it is also the largest organ in the body. So, keeping it healthy is crucial for overall wellness. While topical treatments like serums and creams can help a lot, what you eat also matters. So, in this post, we reveal foods that can help you get clear, problem-free skin!

Fish – Trout, herring, mackerel, and salmon are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for a healthy skin, among other nutrients. These fatty acids help build collagen, reduce inflammation, and can help with dry skin and eczema. They also help with hyperpigmentation and wrinkles.

Berries – Blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries are fantastic antioxidant-rich fruits that help fight free radicals in the body. This, in turn, helps prevent skin damage from UV rays and other environmental aggressors. They also do wonders for acne-prone skin.

Leafy Greens – Veggie leafy greens such as kale, spinach, and chard are excellent sources of vitamins A, C, K, and E and fiber. They protect against wrinkles, fine lines and defend the skin against UV ray damage.

Nuts – Almonds, walnuts, and cashews are loaded with high-quality EFAs, vitamin E, protein, and zinc, all of which promote healthy and clear skin. Studies have shown that people who eat nuts regularly have clearer skin.

Oily Fish – Oily fish like tuna and sardines contain zinc, one of the most important nutrients for skin health. Zinc helps in regulating the production of collagen and protecting the skin from inflammation and oxidative damage.

Having a clear, glowing complexion is everyone's dream, and it's possible to achieve it by making small changes in your diet. Foods rich in omega-3 fats, vitamins A and C, and antioxidants such as berries, nuts, and fish offer benefits to the skin. So, if you're dealing with acne-prone skin, eczema, wrinkles, fine lines, or uneven skin tone, incorporating these foods will improve your skin health. However, remember that no food can replace professional skin care. So, it's always essential to pair healthy eating habits with quality skin products and practice a healthy lifestyle.

Meet Jean Kelly -Acne Esthetician

I'm Jean Kelly.
I received my esthetician license in 2012.  I've been working on skin since then learning all I can about rosacea and acne. I took a course to be an acne specialist so I could learn even more and have access to exclusive products.  My kids struggled with acne for years.  My daughter would cry, her face covered in pimples, and beg me "please don't make me go to school".  It was heartbreaking to see her in pain.  We went to doctors and they never tried to find the causes, they only wanted to prescribe medication. .. some with really bad side effects.  One summer she went swimming and came out so sunburn with second degree burns from one of the prescription medications.
My son's skin wasn't much better.  His was mostly on his neck, chest and back.  We went through the same routing with doctors just prescribing meds.  Nothing helped.
I finally decided I needed to research what causes acne.  I went to school to be an esthetician thinking I could get some answers.  It seemed like everyone was perplexed!  Once I got my license I was able to buy products that only licensed esthetician can buy.  I found a product line that worked great!  My daughter said her face looks it's best when she's using it and I must say she is beautiful!
I decided my purpose in life was to help others that are struggling with acne, to clear their skin and change their lifestyle to include healthier foods and supplements.
I learned that what is going on inside your body shows up on the outside!  Gut and liver health are an important part of clearing acne along with a good skin care routine.
Are you ready to get started clearing your skin?
